Why your Naira deposit may be refunded

Updated this week

To protect users and maintain a secure platform, Bayse verifies the identity of users making Naira deposits.

As part of this process, the name on the bank account used for the deposit must match the verified identity on your Bayse account.

If the names do not match, the deposit will be automatically refunded to the bank account that sent the funds.

Common Reason for Deposit Refund

Your deposit may be refunded if:

  • The bank account name used for the transfer does not match the verified name on your Bayse account

  • The deposit was made using someone else’s bank account

Email Notification for Refunded Deposits

Whenever a deposit is refunded, Bayse will send an email notification explaining the reason for the refund. This helps you understand what happened and what steps to take before attempting another deposit.

How to Avoid Deposit Refunds

To ensure your deposits are successful:

  • Deposit using a bank account registered in your own name

  • Make sure your identity verification details are accurate

If you continue to experience issues with deposits, please contact support through the app for assistance.
